Preorder FAQ
Preorder FAQ
What is a preorder?
A preorder means the item is not in stock yet and will ship on the official release date. Placing a preorder reserves your item in advance so it is guaranteed for you when inventory arrives.
Where do I see the preorder date?
The preorder date is shown in:
-
Product title
-
Product description
-
Checkout page
-
Order confirmation email
This ensures you know the item is not shipping immediately and when you can reasonably expect to receive the item.
Why do I have to pay upfront for a preorder?
Preorders require payment upfront because inventory is reserved specifically for you. We secure your item with the manufacturer and allocate stock based on preorder counts.
Can I cancel my preorder?
Green Beans Toys has a no‑cancellation policy for all orders, including preorders. This policy is shown at checkout , in our Shipping and Returns policy, our Refund policy and in your order confirmation.
Preorders cannot be canceled because inventory is ordered and reserved for you in advance.
What if I thought the item would ship right away?
The preorder date is clearly shown on the product page within the description and title itself, at checkout, and in confirmation. Therefore, the order is considered fully disclosed. The preorder remains valid and cannot be canceled.
When will my preorder ship?
Your preorder will ship on or before the date listed on your order. If the manufacturer delays the release, we will notify you as soon as possible.
What happens if the manufacturer delays the release date?
If the manufacturer changes the release date, your preorder automatically updates to the new date. We will notify you of any changes.
What if the preorder date passes and my item still hasn’t shipped?
If the manufacturer delays the release, we will notify you. If the item does not ship within 30 days of the updated release date, you may request a cancellation per FTC rules.
Can I threaten the business with a chargeback or contact my credit card company to initiate one?
Threatening a chargeback does not change the terms of your preorder. Because preorder dates and policies are clearly disclosed, chargebacks for "I didn't know", “I don’t want to wait” or “I changed my mind” are not valid. Credit card companies typically deny these claims, and filing a knowingly false dispute may be considered chargeback fraud.
What if I threaten Green Beans Toys with a bad review if they don’t cancel my order or actually leave a bad review?
Threatening a business with a negative review to force a cancellation is considered retaliatory behavior and does not override preorder policies.
You may leave a review, but it must be factually accurate. Posting knowingly false, misleading, or derogatory statements can violate platform policies. In cases where false statements harm the business, the business may pursue legal remedies..
Do you follow all preorder laws?
Yes. Green Beans Toys follows all FTC preorder and advance‑payment regulations, including disclosure, shipment timelines, and communication requirements.
Will I get updates on my preorder?
Yes. You will receive updates if:
-
the manufacturer changes the release date
-
your preorder ships
-
your preorder is delayed
How do I check my preorder status?
You can check your preorder status anytime by replying directly to your order confirmation email. (Due to the large volume of scam contacts, please do not use the ContactUs web form for order status updates.)
